Extreme camping (in trees) – Waldseilgarten

If you think walls and floors are just plain overrated, then maybe you should take a trip to Bavaria. Waldseilgarten is Germany’s answer to the traditional tree-house, with hanging tents suspended from large free-standing trees from a secured single point. Guests can only ascend or descend with rope assistance – and even have to  take rope climbing training before. The more extreme campers can opt to be suspended over a cliff face measuring between 1,000 and 2,000 meters, too!

I definitely fancy getting up close and personal with nature, but I do turn a lot in my sleep…

  1. Very cool, yet kind of scary. Do you know how much a night it costs?

BEAUTIFUL! (frightening.:]) I’ve never seen something like this before, thanks for your post.

  3. Due to my fear of heights, that creeps me out a super lot. But the aesthetic is amazing.
